The First Baptist School Hurricanes (Charleston, SC) softball nipped the visiting Charleston Math & Science Riptide (Charleston, SC), 16-15 in Tuesday's non-league outing.

The Hurricanes now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Palmetto Scholars Academy for a non-league outing on Friday, May 2. First Baptist School will encounter a Phoenix team coming off a 19-4 non-league win over North Charleston (North Charleston, SC). The Phoenix record now stands at 6-6.

With the loss, Charleston Math & Science moves to 5-8 on the season. The Riptide travel to Timberland (St. Stephen, SC) to encounter the Wolves in a non-league outing on Wednesday, April 30. The Wolves come into the outing with a record of 8-8. Timberland lost 11-1 in their recent non-league outing against James Island (Charleston, SC)
