The Roosevelt softball team scored 16 runs and held the visiting Douglass Academy Lions to 5 in the non-league win on Tuesday.

The now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hunter College for a non-league battle on Thursday, May 1. Roosevelt will confront a Hawks team coming off a 32-1 non-league win over Douglass Academy (New York, NY). The Hawks record now stands at 4-0.

With the loss, Douglass Academy moves to 0-6 on the season. The Lions travel to The Young Women's Leadership School of Astoria (Astoria, NY) to confront the Phoenix in a non-league battle on Thursday, May 1. The Phoenix come into the battle with a record of 3-3. The Young Women's Leadership School of Astoria won 14-13 in their recent non-league battle against Roosevelt (New York, NY)
