The Southwestern Heights Mustangs triumphed over the host Elkhart Wildcats softball squad by a count of 29-0 in Tuesday's league challenge.

Next, the Mustangs meet the Holcomb Longhorns (Holcomb, KS) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, May 1. Southwestern Heights will attempt to upgrade on its 13-1 season record. The Longhorns enter the challenge with a 0-10 record after their 17-0 non-league loss to Stanton County (Johnson, KS).

The Wildcats (2-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Stanton County (Johnson, KS). The Trojans enter the Hi-Plains challenge with a 15-3 record. In their last challenge, Stanton County overcame Hugoton (Hugoton, KS), 18-2, in a non-league challenge.
