The Fort Defiance Indians overwhelmed the host Staunton Storm softball squad by a count of 16-0 in Tuesday's league challenge.

Next, the Indians meet the Buffalo Gap Bison (Swoope, VA) in a Shenandoah challenge, on Friday, May 2. Fort Defiance will attempt to upgrade on its 9-4 season record. The Bison go into the challenge with a 10-3 record after their 9-0 non-league win over Nelson County (Lovingston, VA).

The Storm (3-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Stuarts Draft (Stuarts Draft, VA). The Cougars go into the Shenandoah challenge with a 6-8 record. In their last challenge, Stuarts Draft was routed by Riverheads (Staunton, VA), 8-7, in a league challenge.
