Fountain Lake Cobras (Hot Springs National Park, AR) backers left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Mills University Studies Comets (Little Rock, AR), 9-3 in a league game.

With the triumph, Fountain Lake upgrades its record to 8-12 on the year. The Cobras host Bauxite (Bauxite, AR) to play the Miners in a 4A Region 5 South game on Friday, May 2. The Miners enter the game with a record of 16-13. Bauxite lost 10-8 in their recent non-league game against Malvern (Malvern, AR)

The Comets now own a 5-8 record. They play next when they travel to Jacksonville for a non-league game on Thursday, May 1. Mills University Studies will play a Titans squad coming off a 16-0 league loss to Maumelle (Maumelle, AR). The Titans record now stands at 2-18.
