In Tuesday's non-league test, the Hammond Central Wolves (Hammond, IN) softball squad overwhelmed the host Gary West Side Cougars (Gary, IN), by a count of 13-0.
Next, the Wolves meet the Highland Trojans (Highland, IN) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, April 30. Hammond Central will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Trojans go into the test with a 7-5 record after their 14-6 league loss to Hanover Central (Cedar Lake, IN).
The Cougars (1-5) will now prepare for their test against Calumet New Tech (Gary, IN). The Warriors go into the non-league test with a 0-6 record. In their last test, Calumet New Tech was routed by Lake Station Edison (Lake Station, IN), 28-3, in a league test.
