In Tuesday's league match, the host St. Francis Spartans softball team scored a tight 4-3 win over the IC Catholic Prep Knights.

The Spartans (15-4) will now prepare for their match against Aurora Central Catholic (Aurora, IL). The Chargers come into the GCAC-White match with a 18-6 record. In their last match, Aurora Central Catholic nipped Nazareth Academy (LaGrange Park, IL), 2-1, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Knights battle the DePaul College Prep Rams (Chicago, IL) in a GCAC-White match, on Thursday, May 1. IC Catholic Prep will attempt to better on its 12-9 season record. The Rams come into the match with a 6-17 record after their 5-1 non-league loss to Regina Dominican (Wilmette, IL).
