South Carolina High School Softball - Ridge View drops to Sumter

The Ridge View Blazers softball squad (Columbia, SC), was routed 23-0 in Tuesday's league contest with the visiting Sumter Gamecocks (Sumter, SC)

With the triumph, Sumter improves its record to 16-6 on the year. The Gamecocks host Ridge View (Columbia, SC) to face the Blazers in a AAAAA Region 5 contest on Thursday, May 1. The Blazers enter the contest with a record of 1-13. Ridge View lost 18-2 in their recent non-league contest against Aiken (Aiken, SC)

The Blazers now hold a 1-12 record. They play next when they host Aiken for a non-league contest on Wednesday, April 30. Ridge View will face a Fighting Green Hornets squad coming off a 16-2 league loss to South Aiken (Aiken, SC). The Fighting Green Hornets record now stands at 2-14.
