Connecticut High School Softball - Shepaug Valley edged by Thomaston

The Shepaug Valley Spartans softball squad (Washington, CT), was edged 4-3 in Tuesday's league contest with the host Thomaston Bears (Thomaston, CT)

With the triumph, Thomaston improves its record to 6-2 on the year. The Bears travel to Nonnewaug (Woodbury, CT) to face the Chiefs in a Berkshire contest on Thursday, May 1. The Chiefs enter the contest with a record of 10-0. Nonnewaug won 20-0 in their recent non-league contest against Farmington (Farmington, CT)

The Spartans now hold a 5-6 record. They play next when they travel to Newtown for a non-league contest on Thursday, May 1. Shepaug Valley will face a Nighthawks squad coming off a 9-0 league win over New Fairfield (New Fairfield, CT). The Nighthawks record now stands at 2-3.
