California High School Softball - Villa Park sneaks past Sonora

In Tuesday's league match, the host Villa Park Spartans softball team scored a tight 5-4 win over the Sonora Raiders.

The Spartans (13-13) will now prepare for their match against El Dorado (Placentia, CA). The Golden Hawks come into the Freeway match with a 15-11 record. In their last match, El Dorado was nipped by La Habra (La Habra, CA), 6-5, in a league match.

In their next game, the Raiders battle the Yorba Linda Mustangs (Yorba Linda, CA) in a non-league match, on Thursday, May 1. Sonora will attempt to better on its 15-8 season record. The Mustangs come into the match with a 12-11 record after their 10-0 league win over Troy (Fullerton, CA).
