Illinois High School Baseball - Wheeling nips Buffalo Grove

The Wheeling Wildcats baseball team scored 7 runs and held the host Buffalo Grove Bison to 6 in the Wildcats league win on Wednesday.

The Wildcats now own a 9-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Conant for a non-league test on Friday, May 1. Wheeling will play a Cougars team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Hersey (Arlington Heights, IL). The Cougars record now stands at 13-7.

With the defeat, Buffalo Grove drops to 9-12 on the year. The Bison host Libertyville (Libertyville, IL) to play the Wildcats in a non-league test on Thursday, April 30. The Wildcats go into the test with a record of 15-6. Libertyville won 21-2 in their recent league test against Waukegan (Waukegan, IL)
