In Wednesday's league challenge, the Marquez Gladiators (Huntington Park, CA) softball squad triumphed over the visiting Torres Toros (Los Angeles, CA), by a count of 11-1.

Next, the Gladiators play the Maywood CES Wolfpack (Maywood, CA) in a Southern challenge, on Friday, May 1. Marquez will attempt to upgrade on its 14-3 season record. The Wolfpack enter the challenge with a 8-5 record after their 11-1 league win over Maywood Academy (Maywood, CA).

The Toros (7-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Sotomayor (Los Angeles, CA). The Wolves enter the Southern challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, Sotomayor overcame Elizabeth (Cudahy, CA), 1-0, in a league challenge.
