In Saturday's non-league challenge, the Calera Eagles (Calera, AL) baseball squad edged the visiting Thompson Warriors (Alabaster, AL), by a count of 4-3.
The Eagles now possess a 13-10 record. They take the field next when they host Pelham for a 6A Area 6 bout on Tuesday, April 6. Calera will face a Panthers team coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Hillcrest (Tuscaloosa, AL). The Panthers record now stands at 3-17.
Next, the Warriors face the Oak Mountain Eagles (Birmingham, AL) in a 7A Area 5 bout, on Tuesday, April 6. Thompson will attempt to move on its 11-12 season record. The Eagles enter the bout with a 14-9 record after their 9-3 non-league loss to Hueytown (Hueytown, AL).
