The Janesville Craig Cougars baseball team scored 14 runs and limited the visiting Elkhorn Elks to 5 in the Cougars non-league victory on Monday.
The Cougars (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Verona (Verona, WI). The Wildcats go into the Big Eight match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Verona gained a win over Milton (Milton, WI), 5-2, in a non-league match.
The Elks (1-3) will now prepare for their match against Badger (Lake Geneva, WI). The Badgers go into the Southern Lakes match with a 0-0 record.
