The Hoggard Vikings held off the visiting Topsail Pirates soccer squad by a margin of 2-1 in Monday's league match.
The Vikings now sport a 8-2 record. They play next when they travel to South Brunswick for a Mideastern 3A/4A match on Wednesday, April 5. Hoggard will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 1-0 league loss to New Hanover (Wilmington, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 4-4.
With the loss, Topsail drops to 7-4 on the season. The Pirates travel to North Brunswick (Leland, NC) to encounter the Scorpions in a Mideastern 3A/4A match on Wednesday, April 5. The Scorpions come into the match with a record of 5-5. North Brunswick lost 9-0 in their recent league match against Laney (Wilmington, NC)
