Virginia High School Softball - Amherst County can't hold off Appomattox County

The Appomattox County Raiders softball team scored 6 runs and limited the visiting Amherst County Lancers to 5 in the Raiders non-league triumph on Monday.
With the triumph, Appomattox County improves its record to 6-1 on the year. The Raiders host Dan River (Ringgold, VA) to clash with the Wildcats in a Dogwood game on Wednesday, April 5. The Wildcats come into the game with a record of 2-5. Dan River lost 6-0 in their recent non-league game against Halifax County (South Boston, VA)
In their next game, the Lancers clash with the Glass Hilltoppers (Lynchburg, VA) in a Seminole game, on Tuesday, April 4. Amherst County will attempt to improve on its 6-1 season record. The Hilltoppers come into the game with a 1-2 record after their 12-2 non-league loss to William Campbell (Naruna, VA).
