Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA) and the host Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA), witnessed Carroll County's softball squad prevail over Grayson County by a count of 11-1.

The Cavaliers now sport a 4-0 record. They play next when they travel to Glenvar for a Three Rivers match on Tuesday, April 4. Carroll County will face a Highlanders squad coming off a 12-1 non-league loss to Northside (Roanoke, VA). The Highlanders record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Grayson County moves to 1-4 on the season. The Blue devils host Galax (Galax, VA) to face the Maroon Tide in a Mountain Empire match on Tuesday, April 4. The Maroon Tide go into the match with a record of 2-2. Galax lost 14-13 in their recent non-league match against Graham (Bluefield, VA)
