Pennsylvania High School Softball - Ellwood City can't get by Hopewell

April 3, 2023: Aliquippa, PA 15001

In Monday's league contest, the Hopewell Vikings (Aliquippa, PA) softball team held off the visiting Ellwood City Wolverine (Ellwood City, PA), by a margin of 3-2.

With the triumph, Hopewell moves its record to 3-1 on the year. The Vikings travel to Beaver Falls (Beaver Falls, PA) to play the Tigers in a WPIAL 3A 2 contest on Wednesday, April 5. The Tigers come into the contest with a record of 0-0.

In their next game, the Wolverine play the Mohawk Area Warriors (Bessemer, PA) in a WPIAL 2A 4 contest, on Wednesday, April 5. Ellwood City will attempt to move on its 3-1 season record. The Warriors come into the contest with a 2-1 record after their 9-7 league loss to Central Valley (Monaca, PA).
