Huntingdon Mustangs (Huntingdon, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Gibson County Pioneers (Dyer, TN), 7-1 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Westview for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 4.

With the loss, Gibson County falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Milan (Milan, TN) to battle the Bulldogs in a 2A District 12 challenge on Tuesday, April 4. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 3-5. Milan lost 12-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Lexington (Lexington, TN)
