The Northwestern Regional Highlanders softball team scored 20 runs and limited the host Gilbert Yellowjackets to 1 in the Highlanders league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Northwestern Regional improves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Highlanders travel to Terryville (Terryville, CT) to clash with the Kangaroos in a Berkshire game on Tuesday, April 4. The Kangaroos come into the game with a record of 0-1. Terryville lost 7-0 in their recent league game against Wamogo Regional (Litchfield, CT)

In their next game, the Yellowjackets clash with the Housatonic-Wamogo Mountaineers (Falls Village, CT) in a non-league game, on Thursday, April 6. Gilbert will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
