New Plymouth Pilgrims (New Plymouth, ID) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Melba Mustangs (Melba, ID), 13-3 in a league challenge.

The Pilgrims now own a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Vale for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 4.

With the loss, Melba falls to 3-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Cole Valley Christian (Meridian, ID) to battle the Chargers in a 2A Western Idaho challenge on Wednesday, April 5. The Chargers enter the challenge with a record of 5-2. Cole Valley Christian won 23-12 in their recent league challenge against Marsing (Marsing, ID)
