Union Grove Christian Patriots (Lexington, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Scotland Christian Academy Saints (Laurinburg, NC), 11-0 in a league challenge.
The Patriots now own a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they host North Stokes for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 4. Union Grove Christian will battle a Vikings squad coming off a 5-2 non-league loss to Leadership Academy (Kernersville, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 2-11.
With the loss, Scotland Christian Academy falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Saints travel to Fayetteville Christian (Fayetteville, NC) to battle the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 18. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 2-1.
