The Greater New Bedford RVT Bears held off the visiting Barnstable Red Hawks volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Bears now have a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Taunton for a non-league test on Friday, April 5.

The Red Hawks (0-1) will now prepare for their test against New Bedford (New Bedford, MA). The Whalers enter the non-league test with a 1-1 record. In their last test, New Bedford held off Durfee (Fall River, MA), 2-0, in a non-league test.
