Richland County Tigers (Olney, IL) fans were thrilled Wednesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Mt. Vernon Rams (Mt. Vernon, IL), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Tigers confront the Salem Wildcats (Salem, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, April 10. Richland County will attempt to better on its 3-3 season record.

The Rams now have a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Marion for a South Seven challenge on Tuesday, April 9. Mt. Vernon will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 7-2 non-league win over DuQuoin (DuQuoin, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-0.
