Midland Rebels (Midland, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Hathaway Hornets (Jennings, LA), 10-6 in a league challenge.

The Rebels now own a 5-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gueydan for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 4. Midland will face a Bears squad coming off a 13-3 league loss to Basile (Basile, LA). The Bears record now stands at 2-11.

With the loss, Hathaway falls to 3-13 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Evans (Evans, LA) to face the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 5. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 10-5. Evans lost 13-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Zwolle (Zwolle, LA)
