Kennedy Cougars (Granada Hills, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Sylmar Spartans (Sylmar, CA), 16-3 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 7-7 record. They take the field next when they host Van Nuys for a Valley Mission challenge on Friday, April 5. Kennedy will battle a Wolves squad coming off a 21-0 league loss to Canoga Park (Canoga Park, CA). The Wolves record now stands at 2-6.

With the loss, Sylmar falls to 2-9 on the campaign. The Spartans host Panorama (Panorama City, CA) to battle the Pythons in a Valley Mission challenge on Friday, April 5. The Pythons enter the challenge with a record of 1-5. Panorama lost 19-1 in their recent league challenge against San Fernando (San Fernando, CA)
