Margaretta Polar Bears (Castalia, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Lakota Raiders (Kansas, OH), 6-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Polar Bears now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Crestview for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 6. Margaretta will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 24-0 league win over Western Reserve (Collins, OH). The Cougars record now stands at 4-0.

With the loss, Lakota falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Raiders host Danbury (Lakeside, OH) to battle the Lakers in a Sandusky Bay - River challenge on Friday, April 5. The Lakers enter the challenge with a record of 2-1. Danbury won 10-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Port Clinton (Port Clinton, OH)
