Torres Toros (Los Angeles, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Maywood Academy Nighthawks (Maywood, CA), 13-9 in a league challenge.

The Toros now own a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they host Maywood CES for a Southern challenge on Friday, April 5. Torres will face a Wolfpack squad coming off a 15-1 league loss to Sotomayor (Los Angeles, CA). The Wolfpack record now stands at 3-3.

With the loss, Maywood Academy falls to 5-7 on the campaign. The Nighthawks host Marquez (Huntington Park, CA) to face the Gladiators in a Southern challenge on Friday, April 5. The Gladiators enter the challenge with a record of 9-3. Marquez won 24-1 in their recent league challenge against Elizabeth (Cudahy, CA)
