Orofino Maniacs (Orofino, ID) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host St. Maries Lumberjacks (St. Maries, ID), 21-11 in a league challenge.

The Maniacs now own a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kellogg for a 2A Central Idaho challenge on Friday, April 5. Orofino will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 14-4 non-league loss to Clarkston (Clarkston, WA). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, St. Maries falls to 0-8 on the campaign. The Lumberjacks travel to Potlatch (Potlatch, ID) to battle the Loggers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 4. The Loggers enter the challenge with a record of 1-2. Potlatch won 25-1 in their recent league challenge against Lapwai (Lapwai, ID)
