The Newark Tech Terries baseball team scored 9 runs and held the host Payne Tech Lions to 2 in the Terries league win on Thursday.

The Terries now hold a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Union for a non-league test on Friday, April 4. Newark Tech will play a Farmers team coming off a 9-2 non-league loss to Union Catholic (Scotch Plains, NJ). The Farmers record now stands at 0-3.

With the defeat, Payne Tech drops to 0-2 on the year. The Lions travel to Shabazz (Newark, NJ) to play the Bulldogs in a SEC - Colonial test on Wednesday, April 9. The Bulldogs go into the test with a record of 1-1.
