The West Carteret Patriots (Morehead City, NC) baseball trounced the host Richlands Wildcats (Richlands, NC), 10-0 in Thursday's league challenge.

The Patriots now own a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Dixon for a Coastal 3A challenge on Tuesday, April 8. West Carteret will clash with a Bulldogs team coming off a 4-3 non-league loss to New Bern (New Bern, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-8.

With the defeat, Richlands drops to 5-7 on the year. The Wildcats host Swansboro (Swansboro, NC) to clash with the Pirates in a Coastal 3A challenge on Tuesday, April 8. The Pirates go into the challenge with a record of 7-4. Swansboro won 11-4 in their recent league challenge against Croatan (Newport, NC)
