In Thursday's non-league game, the visiting Sun Prairie West Wolves baseball team scored a close 8-6 victory over the Waunakee Warriors.
The Wolves (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Vel Phillips Memorial (Madison, WI). The Spartans enter the Big Eight game with a 2-0 record. In their last game, Vel Phillips Memorial held off Baraboo (Baraboo, WI), 11-5, in a non-league game.
Next, the Warriors face the Middleton Cardinals (Middleton, WI) in a non-league game, on Friday, April 4. Waunakee will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
