In Thursday's league challenge, the host Bolsa Grande Matadors volleyball team scored a 3-1 victory over the La Quinta Aztecs.

The Matadors (11-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Rancho Alamitos (Garden Grove, CA). The Vaqueros enter the Garden Grove challenge with a 15-7 record. In their last challenge, Rancho Alamitos was beaten by Crean Lutheran (Irvine, CA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Aztecs meet the Anaheim Colonists (Anaheim, CA) in a Garden Grove challenge, on Tuesday, April 8. La Quinta will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Colonists enter the challenge with a 9-12 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Katella (Anaheim, CA).
