Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC) and the host Chambers Cougars (Charlotte, NC), saw Mallard Creek's soccer squad knock off Chambers by a count of 3-0.
The Mavericks (6-3) will now prepare for their battle against West Charlotte (Charlotte, NC). The Lions enter the Queen City 3A/4A battle with a 2-12 record. In their last battle, West Charlotte by North Mecklenburg (Huntersville, NC), 4-2, in a league battle.
Next up, the Cougars confront the Berry Cardinals (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league battle, on Monday, April 7. Chambers will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Cardinals enter the battle with a 6-7 record after their 1-0 league win over Olympic (Charlotte, NC).
