Eastern Mennonite Flames (Harrisonburg, VA) backers exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA), 5-2 in a league test.

With the triumph, Eastern Mennonite advances its record to 6-0 on the campaign. The Flames travel to The Covenant (Charlottesville, VA) to clash with the Eagles in a test on Monday, April 7. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 4-1. The Covenant won 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Oakcrest (McLean, VA)

The Gryphons now have a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Virginia Episcopal School for a test on Friday, April 4. New Covenant will clash with a Bishops team coming off a 5-3 league loss to North Cross (Roanoke, VA). The Bishops record now stands at 1-1.
