The Springfield Township Spartans (Erdenheim, PA) baseball got by the visiting Cheltenham Panthers (Wyncote, PA), 5-4 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host William Tennent for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 7. Springfield Township will clash with a Panthers team coming off a 16-1 non-league win over Upper Moreland (Willow Grove, PA). The Panthers record now stands at 2-0.

With the defeat, Cheltenham drops to 0-2 on the year. The Panthers travel to Upper Moreland (Willow Grove, PA) to play the Bears in a non-league test on Monday, April 7. The Bears go into the test with a record of 0-4. Upper Moreland lost 16-1 in their recent non-league test against William Tennent (Warminster, PA)
