The Montclair Kimberley Academy Cougars overwhelmed the host Belleville Buccaneers softball squad by a count of 8-0 in Thursday's league challenge.
Next, the Cougars meet the Mount St. Mary Academy Lions (Watchung, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, April 4. Montclair Kimberley Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 2-0 season record. The Lions go into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Delaware Valley (Frenchtown, NJ).
The Buccaneers (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Saddle Brook (Saddle Brook, NJ). The Falcons go into the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Saddle Brook was routed by Emerson (Emerson, NJ), 5-4, in a non-league challenge.
