California High School Softball - La Salle can't get by Sacred Heart of Jesus

The Sacred Heart of Jesus Comets edged the visiting La Salle Lancers softball squad by a count of 4-3 in Thursday's league challenge.

Next, the Comets meet the St. Genevieve Valiants (Panorama City, CA) in a Santa Fe challenge, on Tuesday, April 8. Sacred Heart of Jesus will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Valiants enter the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 36-11 league win over St. Mary's Academy (Inglewood, CA).

The Lancers (8-4) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Bernard (Playa del Rey, CA). The Vikings enter the Santa Fe challenge with a 1-4 record. In their last challenge, St. Bernard was nudged by St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy (Downey, CA), 30-4, in a league challenge.
