Virginia High School Softball - Lakeland knocked off by Western Branch

April 3, 2025: Suffolk, VA 23434

The Western Branch Bruins overwhelmed the host Lakeland Cavaliers softball squad by a count of 16-2 in Thursday's league challenge.

Next, the Bruins meet the King's Fork Bulldogs (Suffolk, VA) in a Southeastern challenge, on Tuesday, April 8. Western Branch will attempt to upgrade on its 6-1 season record. The Bulldogs go into the challenge with a 5-2 record after their 10-9 non-league win over Phoebus (Hampton, VA).

The Cavaliers (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Lake Taylor (Norfolk, VA). The Titans go into the non-league challenge with a 0-5 record. In their last challenge, Lake Taylor was routed by Maury (Norfolk, VA), 18-0, in a league challenge.
