The Pipers now hold a 8-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Baird for a 2A Region I District 8 challenge on Wednesday, April 8. Hamlin will encounter a Bears squad coming off a 6-2 league loss to Aspermont (Aspermont, TX). The Bears record now stands at 4-10.

The Jaybirds (4-2) will now prepare for their bout against Aspermont (Aspermont, TX). The Hornets enter the 2A Region I District 8 bout with a 1-5 record. In their last bout, Aspermont overcame Baird (Baird, TX), 6-2, in a league bout.
