Next, the Tigers meet the Chisum Mustangs (Paris, TX) in a 3A Region II District 12 challenge, on Tuesday, April 7. Mount Vernon will attempt to upgrade on its 15-9 season record. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a 13-11 record after their 14-1 league loss to Winnsboro (Winnsboro, TX).

With the loss, Commerce moves to 7-14 on the season. The Tigers host Rains (Emory, TX) to confront the Wildcats in a 3A Region II District 12 battle on Tuesday, April 7.
