Spectators at Saturday's non-league battle between the Sycamore Spartans (Sycamore, IL) and the host DeKalb Barbs (DeKalb, IL), saw Sycamore's baseball squad edge DeKalb by a count of 7-6.
Coming up next, the Spartans play the Ottawa Pirates (Ottawa, IL) in a Interstate Eight battle, on Monday, May 2. Sycamore will attempt to move on its 14-5 season record. The Pirates enter the battle with a 12-6 record after their 8-1 league loss to Plano (Plano, IL).
