The Marblehead Magicians nudged the visiting Swampscott Big Blue baseball team by a tally of 5-4 in Saturday's league bout.
The Magicians now hold a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Beverly for a non-league bout on Wednesday, May 4. Marblehead will face a Panthers team coming off a 2-1 league loss to Masconomet Regional (Boxford, MA). The Panthers record now stands at 8-2.
Next, the Big Blue face the Melrose Red Raiders (Melrose, MA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, May 2. Swampscott will attempt to advance on its 6-3 season record. The Red Raiders enter the bout with a 8-8 record after their 9-8 non-league loss to Lexington (Lexington, MA).
