Colorado High School Baseball - Montezuma-Cortez defeats Pagosa Springs

Montezuma-Cortez Panthers (Cortez, CO) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Pagosa Springs Pirates (Pagosa Springs, CO), 6-0 in a league test.

With the win, Montezuma-Cortez upgrades its record to 7-8 on the season. The Panthers host Centauri (La Jara, CO) to battle the Falcons in a 3A/2A Intermountain test on Saturday, May 7. The Falcons come into the test with a record of 10-9. Centauri lost 9-1 in their recent league test against Bayfield (Bayfield, CO)

With the defeat, Pagosa Springs falls to 7-13 on the season. The Pirates travel to Durango (Durango, CO) to battle the Demons in a non-league test on Tuesday, May 3. The Demons come into the test with a record of 3-16. Durango lost 7-3 in their recent league test against Montrose (Montrose, CO)
