Newman Greenies (New Orleans, LA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Pope John Paul II Jaguars (Slidell, LA), 13-8 in a non-league test.
With the win, Newman upgrades its record to 12-7 on the season. The Greenies travel to St. Charles Catholic (LaPlace, LA) to battle the Comets in a non-league test on Thursday, May 5. The Comets come into the test with a record of 24-9. St. Charles Catholic won 13-0 in their recent non-league test against Thibodaux (Thibodaux, LA)
With the defeat, Pope John Paul II falls to 13-20 on the season.
