Jamestown Red Raiders (Jamestown, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Allegany-Limestone Gators (Allegany, NY), 8-7 in a league challenge.

The Red Raiders now own a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Olean for a Section 6 Chautauqua/Cattaraugus I challenge on Monday, May 2.

With the loss, Allegany-Limestone falls to 1-9 on the campaign. The Gators travel to Fredonia (Fredonia, NY) to face the Hillbillies in a Section 6 Chautauqua/Cattaraugus I challenge on Monday, May 2. The Hillbillies enter the challenge with a record of 6-1. Fredonia won 13-1 in their recent league challenge against Falconer (Falconer, NY)
