In Saturday's league contest, the Montour Spartans (McKees Rocks, PA) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Ambridge Bridgers (Ambridge, PA), by a margin of 16-1.
With the triumph, Montour moves its record to 7-3 on the year. The Spartans travel to Central Valley (Monaca, PA) to play the Warriors in a WPIAL 4A 3 contest on Tuesday, May 3. The Warriors come into the contest with a record of 8-6.
In their next game, the Bridgers play the Beaver Bobcats (Beaver, PA) in a WPIAL 4A 3 contest, on Monday, May 2. Ambridge will attempt to move on its 2-10 season record. The Bobcats come into the contest with a 11-0 record after their 2-1 league win over Hopewell (Aliquippa, PA).
