Spectators at Saturday's league match between the Block Island (New Shoreham, RI) and the visiting Hope Blue Wave (Providence, RI), witnessed Block Island's softball squad tip Hope by a count of 15-12.

The now sport a 3-5 record. They play next when they host Mt. Pleasant for a Division 3 match on Saturday, May 7. Block Island will meet a Kilties squad coming off a 22-2 league loss to Wheeler (Providence, RI). The Kilties record now stands at 1-7.

With the loss, Hope moves to 0-7 on the season. The Blue wave travel to Central Falls (Central Falls, RI) to meet the Warriors in a Division 3 match on Monday, May 2. The Warriors go into the match with a record of 3-4. Central Falls lost 15-8 in their recent league match against Central (Providence, RI)
