Chewelah Cougars (Chewelah, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Davenport Gorillas (Davenport, WA), 16-1 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 7-7 record. They take the field next when they host Asotin for a 2B Bi-County challenge on Saturday, May 7.

With the loss, Davenport falls to 2-13 on the campaign. The Gorillas host Tekoa-Rosalia (Tekoa, WA) to battle the Timberwolves in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 3. The Timberwolves enter the challenge with a record of 0-5. Tekoa-Rosalia lost 16-9 in their recent league challenge against Pomeroy (Pomeroy, WA)
