Joshua Owls (Joshua, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Crandall Pirates (Crandall, TX), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Owls now own a 13-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hallsville for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 7. Joshua will face a Bobcats squad coming off a 10-8 non-league win over Nacogdoches (Nacogdoches, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 21-6.

With the loss, Crandall falls to 8-13 on the campaign.
